Biography:

Diana Gomez studied Elementary & Secondary Education with an emphasis on Spanish & English at the Universidad Industrial de Santander in her hometown of Bucaramanga, Colombia.  After finishing her B.A., she worked for the Anglo-Colombian School, part of the International Baccalaureate (IB) as well as for the YMCA in Bogota, Colombia.  By interfacing with people from different countries and cultures in these two jobs, she was exposed to a world of opportunities and was inspired to broaden her own worldview by working with the YMCA in Colorado.  When Diana Gomez began her M.Ed. at the University of Pittsburgh in 2008, she was hired at FALK as an Administrative Assistant.  She also taught Spanish in the Department of Hispanic Languages and Literature at the University of Pittsburgh.

For the past year, Diana has worked in the capacity of the Assistant Director of AfterSchool at Falk. She thoroughly enjoys her colleagues and interacting with the children by substitute teaching in different levels, subjects and classrooms.  In her spare time, Diana loves to travel, listen to music, dance salsa and meet new people from different cultures.
